Honest Political Ads – Mrs. Fulbright

Is it wrong to turn your own wife into a focus group approved caricature in a desperate attempt to grovel for votes? Big donors don’t think so!

About the campaign

Big-money special interests and lobbyists have corrupted our government. So we’re setting out to make fixing corruption the #1 issue in the 2016 presidential race.

Enter satirical presidential candidate Gil Fulbright.

We’re running Gil in the most expensive presidential election in U.S. history to make sure America’s corruption crisis stays in the national spotlight for the entire 2016 campaign.

Who’s behind all this?

We’re RepresentUs, a nationwide campaign of conservatives, progressives and everyone in between working together to pass anti-corruption laws in cities and states across the country. These laws protect our local communities from corruption, force politicians to represent people instead of special interests, and build momentum for national reform. You can learn more about who we are and the policies we support at http://represent.us

America’s Corruption Crisis

The 2016 presidential race will be the most expensive election in U.S. history — projected at more than $5 billion! Politicians from both political parties are completely dependent on the handful of elites who bankroll their political careers. Big donors are buying politicians, and their lobbyists are writing our laws. Corruption is legal in America.

Things are so bad, a 20 year study by top political scientists found that “the preferences of the average American appear to have only a minuscule, near-zero, statistically non-significant impact upon public policy.”

One thing that does have an impact? Money. Economic elites, business interests, and people who can afford lobbyists get what they want, and the rest of us pay the price.

Honest Gil: The Hero America Deserves

In 2014, we ran Honest Gil for Senate in Kentucky, and he was an instant hit. Gil’s 2014 ads were viewed more than 10 million times, and hundreds of media outlets, including the Today Show, CNN, Fox News, and BBC Radio picked up the story. Millions were introduced to the movement and thousands of new volunteers helped pass 8 Anti-Corruption Acts and Resolutions across the country.

Now, we’re using the election 2016 media frenzy to go even bigger. With your help, Honest Gil Fulbright will not only get the entire country talking about corruption — he’ll get thousands more people involved with the growing movement to fix it.
